Povidone iodine germicide gargle is a mint-flavored gargle that uses a Povidone Iodine formulation. It is 8.38% w/v alcohol-based. This gargle medicine is effective in treating inflammation of the pharynx and the mouth due to bacterial infections, tonsillitis, traumatic ulcers as well as oral surgery along with a range of other conditions.
Povishield povidone gargle must be used after diluting with an equal quantity of water and gargled/rinsed with for a minimum of 30 seconds. It can be used every 2-4 hours as advised by a medical professional. The mint flavor helps to refresh the mouth and leaves a pleasant taste after each use.
